Cornwall Adventure - July 2 - July 12, 2022 - Rescheduled for 2024 - Dates and pricing TBA
If you are a fan of Doc Martin or have seen the film “ The Fisherman’s Friend,” then you will agree that it is imperative we take a tour of Cornwall. We will witness up close and personal the craggy inlets along the coast, beautifully untamed countryside, and locations awash with history. Cornwall is a magical location set on the south-western tip of the United Kingdom. Cornwall is recognised as one of the Celtic nations and is the homeland of the Cornish people. Our private guide grew up in Cornwall and is delighted to show us the “real deal” of this beautiful corner of the world. Enjoy the comfort of a small group ( 14 -16 ) people as we share in the adventure of a lifetime.

Due to different arrival dates and times, we can make our own taxi or train transport to our hotel. We will check into our hotel and then have time for exploring. Our personal guide David Dacy will meet up with us in the afternoon to give us an overview of the tour and details about today’s schedule. This is a chance to enjoy the delights of London, England’s capital city, one of the most walkable cities in the world. We have the afternoon to immerse ourselves in the history and myths of Tintagel, visit King Arthur’s castle, and walk the spectacular newly created rope bridge. You could also explore the coastal path and lose yourself in the stunning breathtaking scenery. Be sure to pause every now and then and breathe in that Cornish air - we have certainly arrived in paradise. You can either enjoy dinner at our hotel or wander about town and find the perfect spot. Overnight: Tintagel Hotel - (Camelot Castle Hotel)
Tuesday, July 5th ~ Truro, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project

In the late morning we’ll make a stop at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and lose ourselves for a while in this lush 150-year-old botanical estate known for extraordinary rhododendrons and subtropical ferns. We then drive on to the number one tourist destination in Cornwall: the Eden Project—two huge biomes constructed in a 160-year-old disused china clay mine. Another evening to stroll about town and have dinner on your own time. Overnight: Tintagel( Camelot Castle Hotel )
Wednesday, July 6th ~ Port Isaac, St. Michaels Mount
After a delicious Cornish breakfast we will depart Tintagel and head 20 minutes down the stunning North Cornish coast to the charming Cornish fishing village of Port Isaac or as many of you have come to know it as Portwenn from the famous Doc Martin series (pronounced Port When). Located in the middle of this North Cornwall coast village is a perfect jumble of whitewashed fisherman's cottages spilling down to the harbour along some unfeasibly narrow lanes. In the old days life revolved around the harbour with fishing and shipping, the mainstay of the village. Times were good and this can be seen in the fine buildings around the harbour. We have time to stroll the streets of this stunning town. Enjoy a drink at the old schoolhouse, visit the surgery and see if the Doc is home! The afternoon head for the amazing island world of St. Michaels Mount, where you can wander around the ancient castle that is steeped in history of a time gone by. Also enjoy a walk through its sub-tropical gardens at your leisure. The late afternoon sees us head to the delightful, picturesque town of St Ives where we will spend the next three nights. You can walk its beaches, explore its many boutique shops and galleries. There are dozens of places to choose from for your dinner. Overnight: St Ives (Tregenna Castle Resort)

Some may stay on in London to do more exploring, others can arrange for taxi or train to Heathrows, Lancaster gate for the return flight back to the USA.
